It’s the most wonderful time of the year over here at Cassie Treuil Photography. Luckily, I’ve stayed disciplined and really kept the amount of sessions I book to a happy medium. I can admit that I really over did it last year. With buying a house, finding out we were expecting and all the craziness that ensues this time of year, I made a huge mistake taking on so much. But this year, I’m not allowing my “work self” to ruin all the fun my “mom self” should be having. We all deserve to enjoy our homes and close ones this time of the year. I am overwhelmed with excitement about getting to spend it all with my family.
As most of you know, I have an amazing antique sofa for all of my Christmas sessions this year. It sits in my living room just taunting me to photograph it….So what’s a girl to do? Naturally, I tried taking some photos of Kade. You, know the ones where he just sits there and smiles? The ones that any photographer that’s a mom dreams of. Well, needless to say that didn’t happen. So I moved on to Peter. Peter is the cute little stuffed bunny in the photo below. Peter is Kade’s right hand man and pretty much feels like a part of the family :) There’s only so much you can do with Peter without things getting weird and this is as good as it got. So here ya go Peter, your photographic debut at CTP ;) Finally we moved on to doing what it takes….forcing Kade to sit, jumping all over the place just to get a quick smile, bribing him with cookies, candy….any mom that wants “those” pics can vouch for me….and then finally giving up. I actually managed to get a few good shots. Some of him smiling, one of him hiding from me (intentionally) and one that pretty much sums up what it’s like being a photographer and client all at once ;)
Enjoy! Keep an eye out for many more “parts” to come!
